🚀 About the position:

To achieve our business goals and accelerate our adoption globally, we are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team. We're a small but mighty product team with an excellent bunch of developers and designers. We are on a mission to become the #1 event platform for revenue and relationships.

Grip is a B2B SaaS solution for event organisers. We offer a modular tool kit to manage the end-to-end event management process. This role will be focussed on delivering a product roadmap in line with our north star metric to increase the number of accepted meetings per participant.

You will report directly to the VP of Product and work closely with the engineering lead to run our participant squad. This squad is responsible for the end user experience across web app and mobile apps. Your aim is to ensure we provide our organisers’ participants with the best event companion. Ensuring our organisers’ exhibitors/ sponsors can generate quality leads and that all attendees can make the most of the events content offerings.

There are four stages to the interview process:

  1. Screening call with our People Team. This is all about getting to know you.

  2. Meet the VP of Product. Time to talk about product knowledge, skills and techniques and a chance for you to learn more about product at Grip.

  3. Meet the Product team. Time to understand our culture fit and dive into a case-study question. More details will be shared ahead of the call.

  4. Meet the CEO.

This position is a remote role based in the UK.

Job requirements

🚀 Core Responsibilities:

  • Create a product roadmap for the participant experience by collecting and analysing data from our customers, internal teams and our competitors.

  • Work with a cross-functional team including designers, engineers, QA and data analyst to deliver the product roadmap.

  • Define metrics and analyse data to inform new features and services.

  • Gather feedback from users and data on application interaction and commercial impact to prioritise the backlog.

  • Work closely with the engineering lead on the day to day management of your squad. Lead sprint ceremonies including daily stand ups, refinements, backlog grooming and planning sessions.

  • Deliver and maintain workflow processes to ensure effective squad productivity.

  • Test and validate feature work is ready for release.

  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the squad’s ability to meet strategic goals.

  • Oversee issue resolution with the engineering lead

  • Keep track of industry trends

🚀 Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience

  • Driven to create quality web app and mobile app experiences for users in alignment with the the product vision

  • Previous experience working on native mobile app development.

  • Works collaboratively with engineering leads, designs leads and the squad to deliver on initiatives.

  • Highly experienced in gathering insights: qualitative and quantitative insights to drive decisions.

  • Able to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs and evaluate new ideas with internal and external partners.

  • Strong experience in creating highly efficient and collaborative squads.

  • Strong critical thinking; great ability to prioritise and no fear of saying no in order to drive the best product decisions.

  • Experienced in developing, shipping and iterating with user focus.

  • Capable of bringing people together and establishing clarity. A strong communicator and presenter, experienced in influencing stakeholders

  • Love to work autonomously, but are able to earn the trust of others with a collaborative style

  • Solid experience working within a scrum and agile development environment in a venture-backed scale up environment


🚀 Bonus Points:

  • Experience in scaling B2B SaaS solutions

  • Proficient in JIRA ro similar software development lifecycle tools.

  • Experience using analytical solutions (Quicksight)
