Junior Solutions Engineer

🚀 Expectation of the role:

This role will be supporting the Solutions and Integrations team on the successful implementation of multiple technologies within the overall event production. We are looking for a candidate to help us support our UK, Europe and US based clients.

It helps event organisers like SXSW, RX and Clarion Events establish, maintain and track relationships between participants over multiple events. This is possible because Grip goes beyond networking. It combines AI with billions of interactions happening across the platform and an intuitive mobile event app so participants meet the right people at the right time.

🚀 Core Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, implement and test the integration process per event and client.

• Listen to the client to understand their needs and plan specifications while analysing and designing the integration for clients

• Support operations in the communication and management of integrations for live and pre-live events

• Identify and communicate product and project risks and opportunities for pre-live and live events

• Maintain a full understanding of the Grip products to ensure top quality assistance for our clients

• Collaborate with Engineering and Product on enhancements to our API’s and Native Integration Wizard.

Help gain practical experience working with large sets of data, analysing the structure of the data and how to transform and clean incompatible or messy data.
Work directly with Product and Engineering to enhance our Native Integration Wizard.

🚀Experience and Skills:

• Ability to work on multiple technical projects simultaneously

• Ability to learn about and become comfortable with large and complex datasets in a variety of data formats

• Ability to read and understand technical specifications quickly and accurately

• Ability to learn how to use web-based APIs, preferably REST and SOAP APIs

• Technical degree, related technical field or equivalent practical experience

• Experience with at least one programming language and willingness to learn more. Familiarity with Python, Java; especially NodeJS is highly beneficial.

• Ability to address problems through effective problem solving techniques

• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a squad.

• Must have strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to decipher technical data and explain it in plain English

• Can prioritise workload and execute tasks in line with industry best practices
